Our client is a major service provider with a large diverse workforce, located in Huntingwood. Working as part of a team of 5, the role will be surrounded by experienced and supportive colleagues who are working 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
Your new role
The Workers Compensation Technical Claims Manager is responsible for providing high-level technical assistance, development, and support of Case Managers. The role will project manage key injury management programs to achieve the outcomes of the Injury Management strategy, manage the implementation of holistic case management practice and service providers, compliance with legislation whilst adhering to SIRA guidelines and terms and conditions of the Self-Insurers licence.
Key responsibilities:

Provides specialist technical and/or professional advice and act as SME for case managers in relation to technical queries relating to policy, legislation, product knowledge, systems, processes or procedures. Understand and be accountable for the cost and consequence of technical decisions. Deliver technical expertise and support to ensure ongoing quality decisions and outcomes. Engage with external clients and stakeholders on the interpretation of policies and legislation as required. Project manage key injury management programs to achieve the outcomes of the Injury Management strategy. Expertly negotiate with key stakeholders to assist injured workers recover at work. Required Qualifications / Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health Services, Law or equivalent, and/or equivalent relevant experience
- WorkCover Return to Work Coordination Certificate
- First Aid Qualifications
- C Vehicle license
- Diploma or Cert IV in Personal Injury Management or equivalent.
- Experience in similar role managing multiple cases.
