Work Health & Safety Officer Permanent Full-time Opportunity - 35 hours a week! Enjoy a Variable Day Off Every 19 Days Flexible Working Arrangements - WFH Opportunities Salary Range: $77,406.68 - $89,958.96 per annum + 11.5% Superannuation (Depending on Skills and Qualifications) The Role: This position will be responsible for assisting the Coordinator Integrated Risk Management to develop, implement, monitor and review WHS related systems and processes used at Council.
The position will champion safety across Council with a focus on reducing risks and injuries and increasing the awareness and importance of WHS throughout the organisation.
Essential Criteria Certificate IV in WHS and/or relevant experience in a WHS field.Demonstrated experience in WHS monitoring in an outdoor and/or mechanical trade environment.The ability to write quality reports, perform data analysis, develop/review policies and/or procedures, train staff on WHS processes, etc.Experienced in conducting workplace inspections, leading incident investigations, writing reports and presenting findings to Executive level management and/or Health and Safety Committee.Demonstrated knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, regulations and Codes of Practice.Demonstrated high attention to detail and ability to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently and to deadlines.Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment.Demonstrated intermediate level of experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and in-house databases.Current Drivers Licence (Class C).Be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical prior to commencement.How to Apply For further information about the position or the application process, please contact Viraj Keer (Coordinator Integrated Risk Management) on 0400 135 904.
