Your expertise will directly support the implementation of health and safety management systems that foster a culture of safety and well-being throughout the council.
You will collaborate closely with various teams, ensuring that safety is always a priority.Here's what a typical day might look like:Provide WHS support to managers and staff to help maintain a safe work environment.Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote a supportive safety culture.Assist with incident management and investigations, mentoring leaders in finding solutions and coordinating inquiries.Lead hazard identification and risk assessments, enhancing staff skills in these areas.Support workplace investigations, preparing reports and collaborating with SafeWork SA.Work with the WHS Lead on internal audits to assess and improve safety management.Help team leaders identify training needs, safety controls, and PPE requirements for their teams.Provide support for software like Skytrust and Chemalert to streamline WHS documentation.Collaborate on well-being initiatives that enhance employee mental and physical health.Enough about us—let's talk about whether this role is for you!While the ideal candidate will have solid WHS experience, we're looking for someone who can build relationships with colleagues at all levels.
