We are seeking applications for the position of a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality) Manager to take the leading role in safety, health and environmental aspects of the company operations.
Today IWS Power holds ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and other third-party accreditations. The primary role of this position is to maintain our ISO systems, including managing the annual audit process and continue to cultivate the health, safety and environmental awareness culture across the organisation. This position chairs a monthly SHEQ meeting attended by the CEO and a representative from every department in order to define and manage the company's Health and Safety Program.
Reporting to the CEO, the SHEQ Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the safety requirements are maintained throughout the company, investigation and reporting of accidents if they occur.
The responsibilities of the SHEQ Manager include:
Ensure management of Safety & Environmental management systems across the business and implement and maintain required external certification accreditations.
Ensuring all SHEQ processes and procedures are maintained throughout the operations.
Conducting and managing internal and external audits in a timely manner.
Coordinating the health and wellbeing programs within the company.
Other activities as directed by the CEO.
Qualifications: Formal qualifications in HSE/WHS are required. Experience or knowledge of ISO safety systems is desirable. The successful candidate should have a proven track record and experience in the following:
Previous experience in implementation and operation of ISO systems (ISO 14001, ISO 14067, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001).
Knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act and associated Acts, Regulations, Standards and Code of Practice with deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
Risk Assessment and Management experience.
Planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Self-starter with the focus on completion of the tasks on time.
