In this newly created and pivotal role, you'll make a difference by creating a culture of safety, guiding return-to-work coordination, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
About the Role – Make a Difference Every Day This is your opportunity to lead WHS initiatives in a caring and supportive environment. You will oversee all aspects of WHS compliance, incident management, and safety training while shaping a positive safety culture.
What you will do: Lead WHS Excellence: Develop and implement WHS policies, ensuring alignment with legislation and hospital values.Champion Safety Culture: Proactively identify risks, conduct audits, and promote safety across the organization.Coordinate Return-to-Work Programs: Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure timely, safe reintegration of employees.Collaborate and Train: Provide expert advice to leadership and staff, delivering engaging safety training programs.Monitor and Innovate: Analyse data and stay ahead of legislative changes to continuously improve WHS practices.What Makes a difference for us? You're a motivated and skilled professional with:
Experience: 3–5 years' experience in a similar WHS role, preferably within healthcare.Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and return-to-work coordination.Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, investigation and auditing abilities.Values Alignment: A passion for fostering a safe, respectful, and collaborative environment.Relevant qualifications in WHS or a related field are highly desirable.
