We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate to commence their Apprenticeship as a Wood Machinist. Your apprenticeship will see you trained in the following areas:
Use a range of equipment to cut, shape and mould wood into industry set forms.Consult plans and drawings to meet production specifications and meet Australian standards.Select and fit blades, cutter heads and guides to machine timber.Operate and adjust machinery to shape and mould wood to a high standard.Grind, hone and sharpen various machinery parts.Clean and maintain the machinery, tools and workspace such as planers, dockers and moulders.Preventive maintenance tasks.At the successful completion of your 4 year Apprenticeship you will have earned a Certificate III in Wood Machining.
To be successful in securing this role you will have: Completed Year 12 or are in the process of completing it (preferred).A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
