Sydney Royal Competitions judging areas comprise of Wine, Cheese & Dairy Produce, Aquaculture, Beer & Cider, Branded Meat, Professional Bakery, Smallgoods & Charcuterie, Oil & Olives, Pasta Speciality Food and Distilled Spirits.
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW is currently seeking a passionate and savvy Assistant to join the Wine, Dairy & Fine Food Team to support the coordination and execution of the Sydney Royal Wine Show, Cheese & Dairy Show, Fine Food Show, Beer & Cider Show, Distilled Spirits Show, President's Medal, Talk & Taste, Grape, Grain & Graze Festival and associated events.
This exciting and rare role will provide hands-on assistance to the established Wine, Beer & Cider and Fine Food team, assisting with the planning and on-site delivery of the events.
To excel in this role, you will have excellent attention to detail, creative flair and organisational skills complemented with a strong appreciation for the food, wine and agricultural industries. You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of duties including, but not limited to:
Collaborate with the Senior Manager and Event Managers to facilitate administrative tasks and operational preparations for all Sydney Royal Shows.Contribute to the planning and seamless execution of associated Show events, including luncheons, dinners, networking gatherings, and public tastings.Ensure the Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy & Fine Food website maintains up-to-date and relevant content.Efficiently handle all travel and accommodation arrangements for Show Officials.Offer support for Exhibitor, Council, and Committee needs to guarantee a smooth operational flow.Maintain an organized procedure manual that meticulously logs completed tasks and event timelines.Undertake general administrative responsibilities to support the team's objectives.Confidently handle section inquiries via phone and email with professionalism.If you have... Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in the wine and food industries (desirable)Experience Minimum of 2 years' experience in administrationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSound planning, problem solving and coordinating skillsCustomer service and negotiation skillsProject and budget experience (desirable)Computer Skills High level computer literacyProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteMomentus, or equivalent experience in an event management system (desirable)About Us...
