We have two newly created positions for Technical Cleaners (Flow Controllers).Initially, these positions will follow a Monday to Friday day shift schedule until mid-next year, transitioning to a 12-hour rotating shift roster.These are permanent, full-time roles located in Moorebank, Western Sydney.The induction start date is January 20, 2025.Part of the Toyota Automated Logistics Group (TALG), Vanderlande is a market-leading, global partner in the warehousing, airports and parcel sectors. Working at one of Australia's most advanced picking solution sites in Moorebank, Sydney, your role will initially focus on the technical cleaning of all assets and auxiliary equipment in a newly constructed Automated Store Pick Warehouse.
Under the guidance of the Project and Service Teams, you will ensure the equipment is handed over in a condition free from residual debris, which is crucial for maintenance delivery. This involves thorough cleaning of robotics, ancillary equipment, ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) equipment, pallet conveying assets, and varying types of material handling assets. Maintaining cleanliness during the final construction phase and into the integration and service phases is essential for optimal performance.
Responsibilities Thoroughly clean robotics, ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) equipment, pallet conveying assets, and various conveyors. Advocate and participate in the "Clean as we Go" principles to maintain the performance and longevity of automated material handling systems.Quickly address and resolve operational stoppages and blockages within the automated warehouse system. Communicate effectively with the Operational Hub to minimise downtime. Define and record the type of blockages and their causes in the CMMS.Adopt a proactive approach to service delivery, aiming for permanent solutions and continuous improvement. Strive for a "right first time" mentality in all service activities.Build and maintain strong working relationships with all departments to exceed customer expectations. Act as a reliable point of contact for customer inquiries and issues.Skills and Qualifications Prior experience in technical cleaning or maintenance, particularly in an industrial or automated environment.Familiarity with warehouse operations, including handling automated systems like ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) and conveyors.Experience adhering to safety protocols and WHS (Work Health and Safety) standards.Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and tools, as well as basic mechanical skills for maintenance tasks with a high attention to detail.Strong communication skills for interfacing with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers, both face-to-face and via radio communications.Ability to work effectively in a team, supporting colleagues and participating in knowledge transfer.Strong customer service skills to provide timely and accurate updates to customers regarding their requests and ongoing issues.What we offer A competitive remuneration package will be offered to someone who is a team player with a positive, energetic attitude and work ethic as well as the ability to think outside the square.
