Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment)
Campbelltown Catholic Club is a large social and recreational Club located in South West Sydney. The Club provides an extensive range of business, social and recreational facilities including: multiple restaurants and bars, dedicated function and event spaces, Campbelltown Golf Course, Campbelltown Bowling Club, Aquafit Health Fitness Wellbeing, Rydges Hotel and The CUBE Convention & Entertainment Centre.
We are currently seeking an experienced Work Health Safety & Return to Work Coordinator to provide quality WHS and RTW services across the group to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements. This is a part-time role (23 hours pw), days and times are flexible with the option to work from home available. You will be a part of the Human Resources team and report directly to the Human Resources Manager.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide advice to Management and teams to ensure compliance with current legislation Manage the maintenance and ongoing development of the Club's Work Health and Safety Management System Facilitate the WHS Committee including participation and contribution, meeting coordination and regular liaison with Committee members Ensure hazards and unsafe workplace conditions/practices are identified, reported and are actioned. Monitor corrective actions to ensure risks are eliminated, isolated and minimised Coordinate investigation of incidents, near misses and unsafe work practices Maintain a register and coordinate the delivery of mandatory compliance training Coordinate and complete risk assessments Undertake the function of the RTW Coordinator and monitor injured workers through the RTW process Keep up to date with changes in relevant Injury Management, Workers Compensation and Work Health and Safety legislation Provide additional administration support to the HR team as required What we are looking for:
Previous experience in a similar role (within the Registered and Licensed Club or Hospitality Industries highly regarded). Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety Be an accredited Return to Work Coordinator Full NSW Drivers Licence Have a sound understanding of WHS legislation Experience facilitating internal committees and delivering internal training An understanding of and complete commitment to confidentiality Exceptional time management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and liaise with a large number of stakeholders. Adaptable, solutions-focused with a genuine passion for workplace safety Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills What we offer:
