Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development) Adventist Aged Care (Greater Sydney) (AAC), with an administrative office in Wahroonga and facilities in Hornsby and Kings Langley, is seeking a WHS Officer.
The WHS officer will be instrumental in creating a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting education and training, managing risks, conducting investigations, and fostering a proactive safety culture.
The WHS officer's work ultimately aims to minimize workplace injuries, enhance employee well-being, and ensure the organisation is compliant with legislation. The WHS Officer will assist staff back to full duties after injuries.
Key Responsibilities: Annual salary of $63,000 + superannuation and salary packaging optionGuaranteed days of work – three days per weekAccess to in-house and online training programsSupportive and positive team environmentKey Qualifications: Sound knowledge of OH&S / WHS standards, principles, and best practiceStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, to document and deliver content to staff / employeesKeen observation skills to monitor the safety performance of a workplace and identify risks or hazardsStrong problem-solving skills to suggest necessary changes to unsafe work conditionsExcellent organisation skills for all documentation related to workplace compliance and WHS program to educate staff / employeesA strong work ethic and ability to communicate and collaborate with othersPrepared to work in an organisation with high Christian and ethical valuesKnowledge of Aged Care Act and Retirement Village Act (desirable)Please request a copy of the position description to understand the role more.
