Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Full time Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 + fuel and phone allowance
Built MG is a newly established building company borne out of corporate restructure of Melisi Projects, which has been operating for more than 20 years in the successful delivery of residential dwellings & low-rise developments in a number of locations across Adelaide. About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated WHS Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining the safety of our operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to take ownership of workplace health and safety initiatives. As our WHS Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Implementation and development of the company-wide safety management system.Implementation and development of commercial projects' WHS management plans.Monitor and report on site team performance with regard to site prestart, plant prestart, weekly site inspections, toolboxes.Personally administer all other functions and deliverables of the WHSMP(s).Prepare for, attend, and manage external audits and associated report close-out.Administration of safety management software program(s) (currently SiteBook).Coordination of incident investigations and reporting to relevant persons and authorities.Coordination of WHS meetings and programs.Manage training needs analysis and schedule training for workers, as necessary.Provision of assistance to injured workers to return to their pre-injury duties as soon as practicable following a work-related injury or illness. Create and maintain good relations with clients, subcontractors, subconsultants, and all other key stakeholders.Conduct spot checks on residential project fronts and report on compliance (particularly with regard to site management and presentation, scaffolding and falling from heights risk).Promotion of WHS best practices through leadership and example.The candidate will initially primarily be operating across two projects: The 'Vertex' Apartments at Tonsley.The 'Tempo' Apartments at St Clair and the neighbouring 30-apartment development contracted to a social housing operator.What We Offer: A dynamic and supportive work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.The chance to make a significant impact on workplace safety.Your application will include the following questions:
