The Wholesale Energy Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the wholesale energy markets. This role requires a deep understanding of risk management principles and the energy sector. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and assess risks in wholesale energy markets. Develop and implement risk management strategies. Monitor market trends and assess potential impacts on risk. Conduct risk analysis and prepare detailed reports. Collaborate with internal teams on risk mitigation plans. Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintain and update risk management policies and procedures. Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing. Provide training and support on risk management practices. Develop risk management tools and frameworks. Monitor and report on key risk indicators. Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. Extensive experience in risk management within the energy sector. Strong knowledge of wholesale energy markets and regulations. Proficiency in risk assessment and analysis tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
