About the position
A key part of our maintenance team, our Full Time Maintenance Manager is responsible for the daily management of all general maintenance, servicing and repair of The Wests Group Australia's building, plant and equipment. Specific tasks and responsibilities of the role will involve:
Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs Operation and management of the clubs' building management system Liaise with builders during constructions programs Manage and conduct all general repairs and maintenance to building and equipment as required, including specialist catering equipment Ability to prioritise & delegate works to our contractors if required Assist with the oversight of the club's air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration systems Operation and management of power generation equipment Conduct ongoing review of existing systems and plant to improve efficiency and running costs Coordinate and respond to all out of hours service calls Ensure all works performed across all properties are conducted in a manner that is safe and without risk to the health and safety of others Assist with appointing, coordinating and managing external building and maintenance contractors Effectively work with & manage the internal maintenance team members, including performance management, recruitment, training and development Undertake other projects and duties as directed by the Group Asset Manager or CEO Maintain a high standard of presentation and grooming at all times whilst at work Perform all tasks in a safe manner in accordance with relevant Safe Operating Procedures. This position will require travel to different sites as needed and may require weekend work depending on business requirements. Certifications required: Current drivers' licence, trade or tertiary qualifications About you A background in Electrical, Refrigeration & or HVAC is highly desirable An extensive understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements, taking reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of others Demonstrated experience in managing the facilities of a large multifaceted organisation A suitable level of experience in computer-based software systems such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Primavera P6 or other Gantt chart based programs Ability to delegate authority in a responsible manner Shown initiative and problem-solving capabilities in previous roles An understanding of compliance requirements to BCA (Building code of Australia), DDA (Disabled access), and AS 1668 (Fire codes) is highly regarded Previous project management experience is advantageous in this role.
