Software Engineer – Front End - 55408 Permanent Gold Coast Location Part of multi-billion-dollar UNITE program How will I help? As a senior engineer, you will help us improve system design, fine-tune app observability and performance, implement centralized reusable libraries, and maintain a healthy codebase by applying engineering best practices and introducing improved patterns, tooling, and architecture.
Your responsibilities and duties will include: Own decisions regarding component, feature, or application-level quality, reliability, efficiency, and performance.
Help define and evolve our team processes and coding standards.
Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
Lead by example and influence our engineering team.
Perform code reviews and mentor junior team members.
What do I need? To be successful for this position, you should have strong experience in designing, building, and shipping software and be proficient in Java Script and Type Script (either on Node.js or the browser).
In addition, you should have hands-on experience with modern React development using functional components and hooks.
You will have experience working with fine-tuning app observability, adding instrumentation and tools to measure app performance and health.
You should have experience in the below: Writing automated tests (Selenium, Jest, Jasmine).
Designing patterns.
Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
