AMRF Connect is a unique space collocated with the AMRF in Bradfield's First Building, designed to foster collaboration between industry, academia, and government, enabling groundbreaking advancements in advanced manufacturing and driving economic growth across Western Sydney.
The Opportunity Are you passionate about innovation and advanced manufacturing? We're seeking an experienced and driven professional to fill the role of Manager for AMRF Connect, within our Launch Pad team. As the Manager, you will lead the establishment, daily operations, and strategic direction of AMRF Connect, creating a vibrant and collaborative ecosystem that drives technological advancements and economic growth. You will be crucial in positioning AMRF Connect as a dynamic centre for reskilling, business scaling and connecting opportunities with innovation.
In this senior position, you will oversee daily operations, coordinate events, nurture strategic partnerships, deliver high-impact programs, and engage with the community to foster a supportive and collaborative environment for businesses, SMEs, startups, researchers, and the broader community. Your strategic initiatives will be crucial in building partnerships with industry leaders, academic institutions, the AMRF, and government bodies, ensuring that AMRF Connect meets its objectives. Working closely with the AMRF, Western Sydney University, CSIRO, and other key stakeholders, you will align operations with the AMRF Connects vision and create meaningful connections across the industry by facilitating networking, knowledge sharing, and collaborative projects. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving engagement and innovation, accelerating technological advancements, and contributing to the region's economic growth.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 31 December 2028. You will be based at Parramatta City Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.
About You You hold a postgraduate degree in Business Management, Innovation, Engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Design, with extensive industry experience or have an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. You have specialised knowledge and experience with Industry 4.0 and 5.0 strategies. You have a strong track record of successful collaborations with academia, industry, and government to create impactful partnerships and projects. Your success in building strategic, high-value partnerships and programs related to innovation and commercialisation is evident in both local and international markets. With hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing design, technologies, processes and solutions, including robotics, software coding, engineering, and smart manufacturing, you bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. Your organisational and project management skills are exceptional allowing you to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines. Additionally, you are proficient with CAD, spreadsheets, and word processing.
