Based in the Gippsland region and averaging 2 days per week, flexibility required. This is a hands-on role within the farming sector, that therefore requires some out of business hours contact with employees/clients – i.e. weekend work and nights may at times be required to conduct meetings and assist with medical appointments etc. Hours may be spread out over the week or worked in a full day- as required by the needs of the business. Work in excess of 2 days per week will be paid for as required.Flexibility to arrange work hours to suit the well-being needs of seasonal workers from the Pacific Islands is essential.Flexibility to work from home for any administrative duties, but must be able to travel to farm sites in the region as required according to organisational needs.Work related travel expenses to be provided or reimbursed by Connect Group and contributions will be made towards home office related expenses (e.g. home internet and phone usage).Key Outcomes Meet and greet groups arriving from the Pacific Islands and ensure their safe transportation to work/accommodation sites (and reverse procedure for departing groups).Assist with on arrival briefing induction and training procedures for incoming crews.Monitor the code of conduct and well-being of seasonal workers & report any issues immediately to Connect Group Operations Manager.Liaise between seasonal workers and accommodation providers to ensure standards are met from both parties and maintenance is monitored.Ensure well-being needs (outside of work needs) are met for all seasonal workers.Liaising with medical clinics or hospitals & transporting employees to appointments.Banking services – initial set up of accounts etc.Religious & community services – assisting groups to identify where they can attend church.Explaining how & where to do grocery shopping for first time arrivals.Initially assisting in communication with home.Guidance on health, hygiene, diet and food safety to Australian standards of compliance.Guidance on cooking, cleaning and teamwork when appropriate.Maintain consistent contact with seasonal workers, Connect Group and the client to ensure all parties are always aware of issues.Clients' needs are met & exceeded.Compliance is met with auditing procedures.As best as possible, all seasonal workers are happy, healthy, proactive & keen to return year after year.Liaise with corporate organisations such as transportation companies, banks and insurance.Selection Criteria Current drivers' licence and own reliable vehicle.Ability to take ownership of allocated tasks and work autonomously.Ability to develop and maintain rapport with employees and clients.Ability and passion to utilise own knowledge and experience to add value to a founding, highly respected and growing Approved Employer and its continuous improvement.Competent computer skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.High degree of attention to detail.Good command of written and verbal English.Happy phone manner and proactive communication skills.Previous experience in a community services role and/or setting.Language skills relating to countries from the Pacific Island nations or Timor Leste will be highly regarded.Base knowledge of the federal governments Seasonal Worker Program and/or Pacific Labour Scheme, now called the PALM Scheme.Experience working with people from ESL backgrounds.Your application will include the following questions:
