About the role Mc Connell Dowell has an exciting opportunity for a talented Welding and Coating Inspector to join our project team on the Groote Eylandt Wharf Remediation Project in the Northern Territory.
This role plays a crucial part in the successful delivery of a critical project for our client.
This role is offered on a fly in fly out basis with competitive rates and allowances and will be based on Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory.
Responsibilities include: Overseeing the quality and safety of the welding and coating activities Inspecting and assessing the strength and quality of all completed welds Ensuring the correct equipment and materials are being used for a weld Checking all welding specifications Checking all coat specifications Ensuring all safety regulations are being adhered to Suggesting alternative welding techniques if required About you: CSWIP, or equivalent, is required Trade or relevant Engineering degree Advanced understanding & knowledge of Welding and NDT activities Excellent technical knowledge of welding and materials A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment Excellent working knowledge of Australian and international standards and codes Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Experience or willingness to work on a FIFO basis Apply now!
