• Draw, read and interpret drawings. • Recognition and safe use of welding equipment including, but not limited to, hand and power tools and gas cutting equipment (burning gear) • Measure with graduated devices. • Manual heating, thermal cutting & gouging. • To have a good understanding of metals and weld technology. • Work in hazardous areas under 'permit to work' regulations. • Weld using manual metal arc welding process, gas metal arc process, gas tungsten arc welding process. About you : • Minimum 2 years' proven experience within relevant discipline • Previous experience within the mining & resources industry or similar • Certificate of Competency in Welding • Hold a nationally accredited OHS Card (White/Blue Card) • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors. • Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen. What We Offer: • Competitive hourly rates of pay ranging between $43.00 - $66.84 (qualification/experience and project dependent). • Standard working week of 42.5 – 50 hours, working 8.5 - 10 hours per day with additional penalty rates offered for overtime, weekend and public holiday work (site and project dependent). • Opportunities for career development and training. • A supportive and inclusive work environment.
