Job DescriptionThe opportunity. Reporting to the Head of Product – Deposits & Superannuation, this specialist position directly supports our purpose and ensures our members can count on us to provide general advice regarding the continually changing rules and regulations of superannuation, as well as directly contributing to Defence Banks strategic plan by building relevance across the members whole life financial journey.

This position is accountable for:
Supporting the product life cycle including the design, development and implementation of new products.Preparation of product reporting and market research to provide customer insights and support innovation.Undertaking data analysis and providing insights to support strategic decision making and marketing initiatives.Proactively managing risks associated with the deposit product, including Design Distribution Obligations, regulatory requirements and executing on risk controls to achieve compliance across the relevant policy and procedures.Updating key disclosure documents with legislation changes and delivering product notices to support the Bank meet its compliance obligations.Provision of Tier 1 customer service to support customer onboarding, general advice related enquires and technical queries related to retirement products on an ad hoc basis.Conducting reviews on R&D requirements to better support the frontline.Supporting initiatives to meet the banks sales KPIs, optimisation of product margin and the banks broader strategic initiatives.Ad hoc requests as it relates to product and administration of fund.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout you. To be considered for this role you have at least 3 years' experience in financial services or similar. A tertiary qualification in business/finance or superannuation is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion and drive for excellence. You will be proactive, collaborative and have excellent interpersonal skills. As a key team member in the organisation, you will be required to demonstrate a high standard of work, be open minded and innovative. You must demonstrate resilience and have the ability to manage competing priorities and unplanned interruptions.
The successful candidate will have an incredible opportunity to improve their knowledge and strategic thinking by working with the many stakeholders/leaders across the business, in addition to developing their skills by be being responsible for the end-to-end product life cycle journey from customer research to internal risk approval, technology development right through to pricing and product launch.
