*** Some positions may commence in December 2024 Traineeship Opportunities The WDHS traineeship contracts are with our local group training organisation Westvic.
WDHS is your host employer and South West TAFE will support your accredited training.
Traineeships are a 12-month qualification and training experience.
An excellent opportunity to enter the hospitality industry and receive training in all aspects of café and food service, including customer service, barista training, basic food preparation and cooking, sandwich making, general kitchen cleaning, food hygiene and safety and merchandising food and beverages.
The all-rounder trainee will be exposed to multiple areas throughout the 12 month traineeship including Stores, Maintenance, Hotel Services, Gardens and Grounds.
In Stores you will learn how to receive goods, inventory control, handle and deliver goods safely.
In Maintenance, you will learn from our maintenance team which comprises of multiple trades and help support them with day to day activities and larger projects.
Hotel Services deliver a range of services including linen management,waste management, environmental and general cleaning, gardens and grounds management.
WDHS Green Bean Café Certificate III in Hospitality Traineeship - 12 months Full time or Part -Time The WDHS Green Bean Café serves healthy food and drinks to our staff and community, it is recognised as the first Australian all-green healthy café aligned to the Victorian Government's Healthy Choice Guidelines.
Our motivated, innovative team inspires our clientele to regularly use the café, which offers exceptional customer service Hamilton Base Hospital Kitchen /Food Services Certificate III in Hospitality Traineeship - 12 months Full time or Part -Time The Hamilton Base Hospital Kitchen team provides food services to patients in our Acute Wards, Emergency Department, residents in our aged care facilities, Green Bean Café, Social Support Groups and both internal and external catering.
WDHS All-rounder Certificate III Traineeship - multiple study opportunities 12 months Full time or Part -Time The all-rounder will experience a number of hands-on roles within our Stores Department, Maintenance, Hotel Services and Gardens and Grounds.
