Position Title: Wayfinder
Location: Sydney CBD
Position Overview: The Wayfinder will be responsible for providing clear directions and assistance to patrons during New Year's Eve celebrations. This role is crucial for managing crowd flow, ensuring safe ingress and egress, and guiding attendees to key locations throughout the event.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct patrons to essential areas.
Manage crowd flow and provide information regarding station capacities and alternative routes.
Communicate effectively with patrons as they exit transport hubs, guiding them to less congested areas.
Collaborate with security personnel to ensure a safe environment, understanding the limits of their role in crowd management.
Assist in closing off areas of the city when venue capacities are reached, redirecting patrons as necessary.
Provide clear messaging regarding transport options and venue closures.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Familiarity with local area and transport options.
Previous experience in crowd management or customer service is preferred.
Police Check and WWCC license required.
