Way Maintainer (Night Shift) - Geelong - Fixed Term Contract This role is the perfect opportunity to get some hands on rail experience.

No rail experience is required just a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn!
Permanent nightshift position paid at $35.39 per hour + 30% shift loading, penalty rates and fortnightly EDO's on a 5days on 2 days off roster.

About the role As the Way Maintainer, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Network Development, Assets and Maintenance Group.
You will be responsible for assisting the Geelong Night Shift team with tasks involved with laying, aligning, repairing, and maintaining railway tracks from Werribee to Warrnambool.
Key Accountabilities include: As directed, participate in the replacement and/or renewal of track and crossing materials i.e., sleepers, rail, ballast, and fastening Clean up plant equipment and worksite and participate in general site maintenance.
Use and maintain hand tools and minor mechanical equipment.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with appropriate OH&S standards and regulations.

Valid Victorian Driver's License Must have completed Year 10 or equivalent.
Previous experience in a manual labouring role is advantageous.
Truck license or plant operator competencies advantageous.
The willingness to reliably work permanent Night shift.
This will include overtime, travel and on call when required.
