About the Role Reporting to the Coordinator Water Networks you will have responsibility for leading a large team to delivery key Capital Works projects including Water Reticulation Pipeline Renewals.
Working for a motivated network team, this is a genuine chance to broaden out your experience, expand your learning and expertise in this field and to demonstrate your leadership skills and ability to drive cultural change.
If your goal is to ultimately be one of the leaders in the water industry this is a role where you can realise your ambitions and leverage yourself into more senior roles within Council.
With WHS as a priority you will ensure complete alignment across Council's water systems and assets to achieve optimum productivity and performance.
Leading a large team of 13 across a diverse technical range of Water Reticulation activities, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient replacement of the networks water reticulation pipelines.
The Water section provides water collection, distribution, and treatment services in accordance with Council's customer standards, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation, with the objective to prevent environmental harm and to ensure public health, safety, and wellbeing.
About you As a motivated and proactive leader with experience in the management, operations, and maintenance of water infrastructure, you will have the right combination of talent and energy underpinned by a commitment to operational excellence.
The position will suit an effective and decisive leader with proven commercial acumen, highly developed stakeholder engagement skills and a strong focus on the benefit this role will bring to the community.
Importantly, you will be someone who enjoys getting out on site and being visible to your team ensuring that team meetings are regular and purposeful.
A trade qualification in Plumbing is essential for this role and a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, and Water Industry Operations is desirable.
