About your role: As a Electrical System Designer , you will provide overhead and underground distribution designs, estimates, and other project deliverables.
You will provide technical advice regarding distribution design for the provision of electricity supply and electricity network augmentation.
As a Senior Electrical System Designer , in addition to the above, you will be involved in leading

the delivery of comprehensive estimating, design, and works coordination.
This is an opportunity to challenge yourself and apply your electrical expertise in a unique setting.
Prepare designs for our electricity distribution system by taking a defined scope of works and turning it into detailed and concise drawings for our field crews to interpret.
The Electrical System Designer annual salary ranges from $108,859 - $154,692 + Super; 9 or 10-day fortnight .
The Senior Electrical System Designer annual salary ranges from $135,614 - $162,421 + Super; 9 or 10-day fortnight.

The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant's knowledge, skills, and competencies that are required in this position.
About you: Important to your success in the role is your: The appropriate electrical work licence issued in accordance with the Electrical Safety Regulation 2013 - Linesperson, Electrical Fitter Mechanic or Electrical Jointer.

As an Electrical System Designer , you will have: Experience in distribution network design, public lighting design and communication network low complexity designs and estimates is beneficial but not essential – training will be provided

to the successful candidate.
Proven experience in providing technical advice and guidance to stakeholders and respond to customer enquiries associated with assigned designed projects.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Experience preparing accurate and detailed technical reports and scope of works.
Perform line and ground profiling using survey equipment, software, and techniques to ensure compliance with design standards.

As a Senior Electrical System Designer , you will have: Expert knowledge in complex distribution network design and public lighting based on prescriptive standards, and communication network complex designs and estimates in accordance with relevant standards using expert knowledge and design systems.
Expert technical guidance, coaching and leadership to others in the work team, commensurate with level of training and experience.
Knowledge of Statutory and Environmental and Cultural Heritage compliance.

If you also have an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Certificate IV in Frontline Management or Workplace Training or equivalent experience, this will be highly regarded but is not essential.
You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical or respond to pre-employment medical questions.
