The Opportunity As a Waste Management Business Officer in the City of Perth, you will be the custodian of the City's waste business customer relationships. Providing excellent customer service to external and internal customers, this role actively promotes and negotiates business development within the City while promoting responsible waste minimisation and recycling to City of Perth businesses.
Reporting to the Waste and Cleaning Manager within our Operations team, your primary responsibilities will include:
Promoting and negotiating the expansion of the City's commercial Waste and Cleaning businesses; Consulting and liaising with the Waste Education team to educate business stakeholders on achieving better waste management and resource recovery outcomes; Exercising control over the planning, direction, coordination, and evaluation of commercial business objectives, including analysis and interpretation of relevant financial and operational data; Preparing tenders, expressions of interest, and formal quotation documentation in accordance with the City's procurement requirements, including participating in assessment/evaluation panels, report writing, and execution of contracts. About You To succeed in this role, you will possess:
A tertiary qualification in business administration or a related field, or a minimum of three years' experience in a complex business environment operating within an established commercial model; Considerable knowledge of, and the ability to clearly articulate, all aspects of waste and street cleaning services; Experience in promoting waste and street cleaning services tailored to meet customer needs; Strong commercially-based communication and presentation skills.
