In this role, you will play a vital role in operating our excavator and completing associated tasks, while also being willing to lend a hand with various duties within our waste facility as needed.
To excel in this position, it is essential that you possess the physical capabilities to effectively perform the duties of the role, as well as possess strong communication skills.
On a Typical Day This Role WillYou will operate a 22 tonne excavator to:
Construct landfill cell clay wallsSpread waste and cover active tipping areasConstruct and maintain stormwater and leachate systems including diversion bunds and table drainsPush up stockpiles of concrete, green waste and scrap metalConstruct and maintain site access roadsAdditional Various Duties May Include Managing and maintaining leachate pumps to ensure effective operationDriving a truck onsite to cart soil for cover materialOperating a 39 tonne landfill compactor as requiredRemuneration And BenefitsEmployment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $1,154.10 per week with the opportunity for competency-based progression.Allowance: Adverse Working Level 2.
