We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our clients busy warehouse team. Based in Rocklea, this company are known as a leading supplier in commercial furniture solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our client's warehouse, ensuring that inventory is managed efficiently and orders are fulfilled accurately.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. Manage and coordinate warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock levels. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. Monitor and improve warehouse layout and organization to optimize space utilization and workflow. Collaborate with the purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety. Analyze warehouse performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment and delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the furniture industry. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations. Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
