Be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective handling of goods and materials.Manage and lead warehouse teams across receiving and the warehouses.Understand the manufacturing process of products onsite.Coordinate the receiving and storage of raw materials and packaging and bulk container loads.Receipt inward goods.Computer production orders confirmation.Day to day despatch of local, interstate and overseas deliveries.Organise team to pick orders correctly.Operate forklift.Prepare containers in advance - weigh goods, prepare paperwork for customs.Ensure safety and compliance within warehouse.Liaise with Customer Service, Purchasing and Manufacturing to ensure timely and accurate receipt and dispatch of goods.Liaise with Customer Service (Export expert) or Production and Delivery Services Manager about timing of finished products to be packed in containers in the most efficient manner.Ensure goods are wrapped and packed appropriately.Deal with returned goods from customers as per company policy.Investigate missing stock.Authorise paperwork for products ready to be dispatched.Book trucks based on policy.Ensure goods for truck delivery are correct.Maintain sound knowledge of customers and the products they require.Participate and manage stock takes and cycle counts as required.Report problems in meeting requirements to the Delivery Services Manager.Inventory goods management and stocktake processes.Ensure work areas are clean and tidy.To be successful in the role you will have:
Management experience of leading and motivating teams.Interpersonal skills, particularly written and verbal communication skills.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Experience or knowledge of working LEAN principles.Computer skills and experience using an ERP.Ability to work unsupervised.Ability to follow up on issues and workflows.Ability to watch out for the wellbeing of other workers particularly with respect to safe practices.Ability to stay focused and attentive to the work environment.Click APPLY to get your resume through to be considered for this role.
