Job DescriptionAbout this opportunity The Warehouse Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Warehouse plan to ensure that the team is working safely and well together, the customer requirements are being met and that the budgeted profit result is being delivered.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Apply and coach the team to utilise the necessary Lean and OPEX toolsManage the daily tasks efficiency, DIFOT and Asset Utilisation using appropriate software to report, coach, investigate to ultimately improve overall efficiency.Manage the adherence to agreed customer KPIs.Facilitate the use of preventative maintenance techniques and coordinate forklifts as well as other equipment in the area of responsibilityMonitor sales orders and run backorder reportsRespond to sales & customer service requestsIncident management including of reporting, investigating and close-out of WHSE incidents.Instilling a culture whereby risks are identified, assessed and controlled for all activities on site.Communicating training dates to personnel under their supervisionYour skills and experience To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Familiarity and senior level ability with OH&S and safe work practicesExperience in a full warehousing operation, including experience using scanners and other logistics technologiesProven people management capabilities coupled with substantial supervisory experience and superior communication skills.Experience with manufacturing warehouse stocktake processesWaste, recycling and/or packaging industry backgroundExperience in a large business high volume fleet & distribution environmentQualificationsCertificate III in Warehousing or other logistics qualifications preferred but not essentialKnowledge of SAP or other similar business system.
