Alstom is looking for an experienced Warehouse Logistics Operator to join our Supply Chain team based in Lilyfield/Randwick supporting the Sydney Light Rail project.
You will be reporting to the Warehouse supervisor and working closely with the Procurement and Project team.
This is initially a 8 month contract with the possibility of being extended.Client DetailsOur client, Alstom, is a global organisation in the rail industry.

Every day, more than 80, 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities with the aim of reducing carbon, replacing cars.DescriptionYou will be In charge of executing physical flows of the goods (purchased and manufactured items): Reception, putaway, storage, picking and line feeding, packing, shipping, inventory, materials handling.
Your target is to align physical and systems flows.Working with Warehouse & Logistic management, Logistic Engineer, Serial Production Controller & Material Planner and other Quality teams (incoming, quality inspectors, etc…)Apply rules to operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, communicate with Warehouse management advising of any safety or maintenance issues.Use relevant ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems to ensure accurate transactions and movements and system flows are managed and updated.Ensure the preservation of materials and process are completed in a timely manner (handling, storage, line feeding, NCR, shipment).Daily cycle counting Detect, treat anomalies, and know how to report those that cannot be resolved to their manager.ProfileMust have * High school graduate or equivalent.
* Experience working within a warehouse.
* Licensed Forklift driving experience.
* Knowledge of ERP SAP environment.
* Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S would be preferable.
* Reliable & well organized with an Agile, Inclusive and Responsible attitude.Job OfferThe role starts with a 6-month assignment with a view to extension and/or becoming permanent directly with Alstom.Morning shiftsOpportunity for overtime.Access to free EAP.
