You will play a key role in patient care, responding to incidents and emergencies promptly, and implementing proactive wards person practices.
All required training and education will be provided to ensure your success in this vital role.
This position is a Monday to Friday morning and evening position with expected on call for Saturday mornings as a shared arrangement with colleagues.
Your main duties will include: Transport patients safely via bed or wheelchair across the facility.
Work within a health facility in collaboration with Nursing Management and patients.
Provide support to clinical teams in response to emergency care and high risk priorities About you Knowledge, understanding and demonstration of customer service culture in health care Demonstrated ability to work independently, with effective time management and prioritisation skills.
Good knowledge of Infection Control and, Work Health and Safety standards and procedures, with a particular focus on clinical manual handling Ability to work effectively as a team member, supporting other and taking directions from team leaders, supervisors and other staff as required.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate respectfully to line management, colleagues, patients and visitors.
Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, which includes pushing patient occupied beds, lifting patients using relevant equipment and mobilising wheeled equipment.
