Ward Clerk - Maternity Outpatients

24 Hours Per Week Available Permanent Part-Time About the role: Maternity Outpatients is located offsite from the main Grampians Health Ballarat Building at 1011 Mair St Ballarat and provide antenatal care, lactation clinics, childbirth education and domiciliary care.
Rostering includes shift work and some weekends, however mostly hours of operation are 0800-1730hrs, Monday to Friday, (Saturday and Sunday – 1230-1600hrs).
Your primary role will be to: Provide frontline reception, clerical and administrative support to the Maternity Outpatient Unit including working in a multidisciplinary team.
Promote efficient teamwork and service provision both within the area and the organisation and with other service providers.
Key Responsibilities Maintains a person/family centred focus providing timely care and efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
Adherence to all policies, procedures and guidelines including maintain education modules, annual PDR review and in accordance with Grampians Health Values.
Provides advanced levels of typing, data entry and data prestation where applicable.
Operates information communications technology efficiently and with confidence.
Participates as a member of the team in constructive decision making and respectful communication within the work area.
Manages time effectively and prioritises workload as applicable, escalating to team and ANUM as needed.
Skills and Experience Recent ward clerk/frontline clerical experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and be able to respond effectively and efficiently with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
High level computer skills- VINAH training is desirable.
