Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities: We are currently recruiting a FIC Corporate salesperson in Sydney, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity within a fast-paced, results focused, global organization that values diversity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the build out of the Fixed Income and Currencies Corporate business in Australia. They will have the opportunity to build close relationships with the teams onshore and within the organization more broadly on a regional and global basis.
The Fixed Income & Currencies team is a part of the Global Markets division. The team services the real economy and aims to build together with our clients a better and sustainable future through responsible and innovative hedging, across FX, rates and investment solutions, leveraging on Societe Generale's expertise in both the developed and emerging markets. The team works internationally with teams based in Singapore, HK, mainland China, South Korea, Japan, and India.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing FX and Interest rate risk management solutions to corporate clients in Australia, including Investment solutions where relevant. Our clients include local Australian corporates as well as MNCs with regional Treasury or subsidiary presence in Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Growing the FIC Corporate flow business with Australian Corporates and developing business opportunities (both public and private deals)Originating business opportunities with existing and new clients and providing advisory on risk management and building deal pipelines in collaboration with the Global Markets teamsStrong pricing and execution abilities in FX and Interest rates derivatives, as well as structured investment solutionsPreparing pitchbooks, market comments, term sheets, and other marketing materialsDriving sales initiatives and maintaining awareness of SG's FX & Rates strengths and offeringsWorking in close partnership with the broader FIC desk in Sydney in building out the franchiseWorking collaboratively with other salespersons in the region and globally as well as other departments and partnersMaintaining strong connectivity with the market, understanding the needs of the different corporate clients and industry groupsQualifications, Experience & Knowledge Required: Bachelor's or master's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, EngineeringAt least 6-8 years of relevant financial markets experience in Sales or Global MarketsProven capabilities in building strong relationships with the Australian Corporate clientsStrong technical knowledge on Fixed Income and Currencies productsGood knowledge on the usage of dealing platforms for credit FX and FIStrong ability in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and ExcelBehavioral Competencies Required: Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationshipsCommercial acumen, strong corporate knowledge and persistence in addressing clients' needsStrong negotiation and influencing skillsAbility to work in a team environment with teams based in different geographical locationsProven ability to work in an evolving multicultural environmentFunctional Relationships: INTERNAL: staff from business divisions and support functions locally, regionally and globally
