About the Role: The VP of Corporate Communications leads our public relations and internal communications globally on behalf of Sitecore to help establish share of voice, secure brand lift and drive engagement and pipeline among target customers. As part of media relations, this individual will manage our PR agencies around the globe, ensuring our stories and key messages are delivered in a compelling and connected way that differentiates Sitecore in the market. In addition to day-to-day media relations, this individual will also act as a counsellor to the executive and marketing leadership teams by pinpointing conversations the brand can get involved with, topics that executives and stakeholders can 'own' that emphasize Sitecore's extensive experience in the digital experience space and identify potential opportunities and challenges that Sitecore should be aware of that will secure awareness about the brand and its offerings in key publications that drive the digital experience conversation. Central to the role is an ability to garner meaningful, engaging coverage in Tier One media that goes beyond simple brand mentions. Success will be measured not justin the amount ofcoverage achieved but in the story being told in each piece. An ability to understand the needs of today'sjournalistand create packages and content that tell stories will be critical. WhatYou'llDo: Create, distribute and pitch news stories, in partnership with PR agencies, to target, tier one media in order to achieve brand lift, awareness and influence pipelineDevelop the voice of key executives and spokespeople across the business so that Sitecore can 'own' important topics in the digital experience spaceDrive media attendance and interviews surroundingSitecore events (ex. Sitecore Symposium)Act as the crisis communications lead, strategizing plans and possibilities when issues ariseLead efforts to develop customer stories and content that support external media, social and sales enablement requirementsWork closely with marketing leadership to develop key messages for both the brand and individual products that resonate with external stakeholders and customersDetermine plans and activity that will make coverage and customer stories 'work harder 'across the business by regularly partnering with the social team, internal comms, HR and other partiesLead the internal communications team to create the internal communications strategy, aligned with business, brand, and people/culture prioritiesPartner with content and social teams on strategies to further amplify communications across additional channels and build broader brand programsWhat You Need to Succeed: Excellent writing and editing skills – telling stories should be yourpassionFantastic interpersonal skillsCross-cultural experience working with othermarketsPowerful project management capabilities that energize and excite teams to strive forsuccessKnowledge about what makes modern media tick and how to cut through to generateheadlinesA creative mind that can help youthink outside the boxbeyond simple, press release 'spray and pray'approachesAdditional Skills That Could Set You Apart: Knowledge and interest in the digital experience sectorExperience working in and/or overseeing other markets (specifically the UK and Australia)A strong ability to win over and persuade others to see your vision and sellopportunitiesA combination of both agency and brand experience in the B2B tech sectorUnderstanding of the SaaS model and the different messages needed to help position products in thisspaceWhy You Should Click 'Apply': Growth!We are tapping into an exciting $30B market opportunity that is still very much in its infancy and feel.
