Who we're seeking?
If you are the type of General Manager who rolls their sleeves up to help our food & beverage team set up tables on sand dunes, clear plates at breakfast during peak periods, or strip beds for housing teams due to quick room turnaround, or at the Front Desk checking in guests due to cancelled flights from bad weather.
This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive performance across a complex, multi-faceted resort operation. The incumbent will be expected to balance short-term operational excellence with long-term strategic goals, ensuring the resort's continued growth and success in a competitive marketplace.
With over 10 years' experience, this role would suit someone who has experience as a multi-hotel or Cluster General Manager, with senior leadership exposure that demonstrates solid business acumen and suitability for the responsibility, management, and profitability of our largest operation of the resort.
Key Duties
Your day-to-day will involve leading a diverse team by providing guidance to our hotel general managers and outlet managers, which are made up of:

General Manager – Zone 1 : responsibility for Sails in the Desert, restaurants – Ilkari, Walpa, and Pira. The Lost Camel, Town Square restaurants – Geckos, Kulata, and Ayers Wok, Outdoor Dining – Sounds of Silence, Field of Lights, Sunrise Journeys, Wintjiri Wiru, and Tali Wiru. General Manager - Zone 2 : responsibility for Desert Gardens, restaurants - Mangata and Arnguli, Emu Walk Apartments. Hotel Manager – Zone 3 : responsibility for Outback Hotel & Lodge, restaurants – BBQ Bar, Bough House, Outback Bar and Kiosk, Berry Road Contractors Camp, Residents Club. Guest Activities & Tours Manager : responsibility for Desert Awakenings and daily resort activities. Laundry Manager : responsible for the commercial laundry for the whole resort. This isn't just any regular General Manager gig; you will have the chance to change the lives of Indigenous Australians by providing market-leading training and employment programs while empowering a growing indigenous workforce.
