Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a General Manager Indigenous Engagement to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is a 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.
We are in search of a dedicated leader who possesses outstanding stakeholder management abilities, has over a decade of experience collaborating with Aboriginal communities in remote Australia, and is skilled in managing projects and programs while delivering results across diverse settings to head our Indigenous Engagement Team.
This position requires you to offer strategic leadership to the Indigenous Engagement Team and Programs at Ayers Rock Resort. The main goal of this role is to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both Anangu and Voyages by facilitating culturally safe access to employment, education, and social and economic advantages. This involves the development, leadership, and coordination of the Real Jobs, Employment Pathways, and Education Pathways Programs, which provide activities and opportunities for Anangu residing in the NPY region. Additionally, effective management of key stakeholders related to these programs is essential.
This role requires a current Working with Children's Check or ability to obtain one as well as a valid Open Australian Drivers License.
A snapshot of your new role: Establish, maintain and grow effective working relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally to effectively deliver strategic outcomes to Anangu through programs in the Indigenous Engagement portfolio. Strategically and actively develop performance and capacity within a team of people with clearly defined roles and work plans to deliver culturally safe opportunities to Anangu. Design and deliver programs that deliver mutually beneficial outcomes to Voyages and A?angu through funded programs, including budget management, compliance and reporting to funding bodies and the Voyages Board. Provide operational leadership for the Anangu Communities Foundation (ACF), including increasing the profile of the Foundation, review of applications and reporting to the ACF Board. Enhance Voyages capacity for culturally safe engagement to increase A?angu employment and other outcomes in collaboration with the Director of Regional Engagement. The Indigenous Engagement Team delivers mutually beneficial outcomes to Anangu and Voyages by promoting culturally safe access to employment, education, social and economic benefits through opportunities at Ayers Rock Resort. The team develops and delivers outcomes through three core programs across the NPY region (Real Jobs, Employment Pathways, and Education Pathways) and Voyages philanthropic arm, the Anangu Communities Foundation.
