Shellharbour City Council and the Links Shell Cove works with local volunteers to play a valuable role in the operations at the Links Shell Cove.
Volunteering gives you a sense of ownership and belonging to your club and is a great way to meet new members and the staff. Our volunteers build new skills and meet new people while helping with day-to-day tasks, being part of our golf course projects and assisting with major golf events.

That no payment will be made to you by Council. Should an injury occur while volunteering at Council, I will notify Council's Supervisor/Coordinator immediately, or as soon as practicable. Should an incident occur in which an injury or property damage to other parties may arise while volunteering at Council, I will notify Council's Supervisor/Coordinator immediately, or as soon as practicable. Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, I will follow all established practices, procedures and instructions of Council which apply to the tasks I have volunteered to perform. Public Liability Insurance will only be covered during approved volunteering within the terms and conditions of Council's Public Liability Insurance policy for third party personal injury or damage to property caused by an occurrence in connection with the business of the Council. While acting as a volunteer, a limited personal accident insurance cover will be affected by Council subject to the terms and conditions for the policy. If I require assistance from friends and relatives, they will need to be registered volunteer and their details are to be provided to Council to be covered by Public Liability Insurance while carrying out their tasks. The policy does not cover volunteers whilst driving their own vehicles or uninsured/unregistered vehicles. Council strongly recommends that all volunteer staff using private vehicles are covered by their own comprehensive insurance policy.
