Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at NSW Health.
The successful candidate will provide administrative, clerical, and organisational support to the SESLHD Clinical Stream - Medicine and Voluntary Assisted Dying Liaison Service (VAD-LS).
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality confidential administrative and clerical support services to enable the SESLHD Clinical Stream - Medicine and VAD-LS to achieve its objectives in a timely, reliable, and efficient manner.Ensure quality, safe, and compassionate care for all those involved with VAD in accordance with the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2022, NSW Health Policy Directive, and SESLHD VAD-LS model of care.Provide a single point of contact for VAD-related inquiries.Provide operational support to the SESLHD Medicine Stream and VAD-LS to ensure coordinated workflow and outcomes.RequirementsRecent experience in coordinating committees, including preparation of agendas, minute taking, preparation of correspondence, and providing high-level administrative support in a demanding and sensitive environment.Demonstrated ability to write reports, documents, and correspondence while being able to analyse and compile data for presentations and reports with confidentiality, sensitivity, and attention to detail.Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to respond and work with a range of stakeholders.Demonstrated high-level organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, monitor workflow, and achieve strict deadlines.Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and standard MS office software packages, Health Roster, ROB, WINC, VMoney, and other hospital applications, and the ability to learn new systems as required.Demonstrated experience working in complex work environments, involving issues that may be distressing or sensitive for patients and staff.Demonstrated experience communicating with key stakeholders (internal and external) at the appropriate level to ensure understanding while providing practical and relevant advice appropriate to the role.Willingness to travel between SESLHD sites and services as required.BenefitsUp to 12 allocated days off each year (for full-time employees) in addition to annual leave.Salary packaging options that reduce taxable income and increase take-home pay.Discounted gym memberships with a Fitness Passport.Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees and family members.Discounted Private Health Insurance.
