About the Position
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Trades Assistant is responsible for providing support to our trades persons and completing crane chasing duties in line with voestalpine Railway Systems Australia production requirements. Duties include:
Operate overhead cranes to ensure materials are ready to move through production Ensuring a clean, tidy and safe workplace Assisting in all areas of production as required Following and complying with all service quality and safety standards, procedures and regulations Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers About You
To be successful for this role with the voestalpine Railway Systems team, you will need:
Previous experience working as a TA or Labourer Proficiency in operating overhead cranes is advantageous. Experience with bandsaw operation is desirable. Experience operating a semi-automatic drilling machine is desirable. Proven ability to interpreting drawings. Exceptional attention to detail. A positive and proactive can-do attitude. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to assist in other areas of the production team as required. Ability to work autonomously. Willingness and capability to complete and pass a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug & Alcohol Testing. What's on Offer?
