About the Opportunity: Are you passionate about supporting student success in vocational education and training programs?
John Paul College are currently seeking an experienced VET Learning & Administration Assistant to join our Secondary School Vocational Education Training program from January 2025.
The role of a VET Learning & Administration Assistant at JPC is to provide valuable classroom support to students enrolled in vocational education and training programs within the College.
This role is also be pivotal in providing administrative support to the Head of VET and Head of Careers.
Working under the guidance and direction of our Head of Vocational Education and Training, a VET Learning & Administration Assistant plays a crucial role in facilitating student learning outcomes.
This important classroom and administrative support role will help to create inclusive learning environments; inspire and motivate students to commence and continue required tasks; foster positive relationships; as well as communicate with staff, students and parents in a timely and respectful manner.
While the standard hours for this role are 38 hours per week during term time, John Paul College is committed to promoting work-life balance and supporting our employees' diverse needs.
As such, we are open to considering job sharing arrangements for this position.

About You: The ideal candidate for the position of VET Learning & Administration Assistant will possess the following attributes and qualifications or be working towards obtaining them.
Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent qualification, demonstrating proficiency in providing educational assistance and support to students.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, with industry currency in business, hospitality, fitness or health.
Enrolled in a secondary teaching degree at university (Bachelor of Education) Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and interact with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
Adaptability and flexibility to work collaboratively within a dynamic educational environment, responding to the diverse needs of students and teachers.
Organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the completion of administrative tasks and documentation.
A genuine passion for supporting student learning and development, with a commitment to promoting positive educational outcomes for all learners.
Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines governing vocational education and training programs in educational settings.
Experience and flexibility to work in a range of Learning Management Systems and software.
As this role works directly with children on campus, the successful applicant will require a current Working with Children Check issued by Blue Card Services Queensland and a Current First Aid Qualification.
