About the RoleFrederick Irwin Anglican School is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Visual Arts Teacher to join our secondary school team.
The ideal candidate will bring a profound enthusiasm for the subject, coupled with effective teaching strategies to inspire and engage students.
The role involves delivering comprehensive and dynamic art lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and actively contributing to the development of our curriculum.
This is an ongoing full-time position starting Term 1 2025.
Responsibilities: Use the correct curriculum and syllabus in determining the teaching programmeBeing suitably qualified as a Secondary teacherDevelop programmes which stimulate learning, engage students and promote excellenceProduce a teaching programme for each class on a term/semester/yearly time frame (and review periodically) in accordance with the curriculum and pedagogical direction of the SchoolDevelop assessment tasks according to the requirements of the syllabusMaintain effective communication with students and parents concerning the progress of each studentDevelop in students an active and constructive attitude to learning which generates mutual respect between teacher and learnerCritically reflect on teaching strategies and make adjustments accordinglyPresent to students, colleagues, and parents as a professional teacher through manner, communications, dress, conduct etc.Implement the policies of the School, uphold its ethos and operate to uphold the reputation and good name of the School for the benefit of allThe successful candidate will: Hold current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of Western AustraliaCurrent Working with Children CheckAppropriate academic qualificationsAbility to work in a co-operative, team environmentSupport the Christian ethos of the SchoolTo express your interest in this role please submit a written letter of application and your resume to .
