We currently have one Permanent Part time vacancy available (0.52FTE or 39 hrs/fortnight) and several casual vacancies required to cover weekends and busy periods of school holidays and staff leave. This Recruitment process is for a Pool which is valid for 18 months. Subsequent Permanent, Fixed Term, Part Time, and Casual appointments may be made from this pool as positions become available. About the role The Visitor Service Officer (VSO) role involves the provision of a welcoming environment and high-quality experience for Museum visitors. VSO's ensure the safety of visitors and staff within the Museum, as well as the security of the Museum collection.
About you We are seeking dynamic, self-motivated individuals who enjoy working in a positive team environment and delivering high quality customer service.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
Provide a high level of visitor engagement through advanced tours, technology, and interpretive programs. Support retail activities. Support public events and functions through either the event set-up and/or pack down, and through tours. Provide a high standard of security and safety for visitors and the Museum precinct. A current Working with Children Check. Pool Recruitment This Pool will be open for a period of 18 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time, part time and casual appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
Applicants found suitable in this Pool may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies with the WA Museum and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) for the duration of the pool.
