Armidale Hospital is seeking an Anaesthetist who wishes to pursue a career in a rural environment. We are keen to discuss with the successful candidate the role being either a Visiting Medical Officer or a Staff Specialist. Trainees nearing Fellowship encouraged to apply.
About the job: You will provide safe, efficient and effective Anaesthetic, emergency airway management, ventilation and acute pain service to patients of Armidale Rural Referral Hospital including providing support to a 5 bed HDU.
Conduct preoperative outpatient consultancy services.
Opportunity for conjoint appointments with Joint Medical Program, University of New England.
You will be well supported by a team of colleagues with a good mix of experience and enthusiasm, including fellow Specialists and General Practice Procedural Anaesthetists providing mentoring and support.
Mandatory requirements of this role include:
Admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth and on-call services as determined and required by HNELHD. Attendance and availability during rostered work hours and whilst on-call including clinical handover, clinical supervision, teaching and for emergency and routine care as determined and required by HNELHD.
