Job Description Join our team as a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) Occupational Therapist conducting assessments, offering advice to enhance daily living activities, providing support for aids, equipment, and assistive technology, and delivering practical support aligned with EverAbility's mission, vision, and values.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Contribute to an integrated, person-centred service model, ensuring best practices in individualised therapy services.
Monitor and evaluate services to ensure compliance with Visability policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
Conduct clinical assessments of functional independence, and develop, implement and evaluate individual services, including recommending specialised assistive technology.
Maintain accurate records, case plans and documentation within the Client Management System.
Report service-related issues to the Program Manager.
Provide input to improve Visability processes through feedback and suggestions.
Mentor and coach students, contributing to the OT profession.
Perform other duties as required by the Manager.
Desired Skills and Experience Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
Sound knowledge of current legislation, standards and policies in disability and aged community care services (state and national).
Demonstrated understanding and experience with a person-centred approach to service delivery.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, especially for preparing complex submissions.
Ability to utilise communication strategies and tools effectively.
Innovative approach to service delivery.
Previous experience in a similar role within the disability or health-related sectors.
Understanding of consumer-directed care and person-centred practices in the disability and aged care sectors.
Willingness to travel to client appointments and other locations as required.
National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check, valid WA driver's licence and AHPRA Registration.
Evidence of annual Influenza vaccination.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, vision impairment or acquired brain injury.
Understanding of funding models, particularly the NDIS.
Demonstrated experience in recommending and prescribing assistive technology equipment and aids.
