The RoleLocated in Cromer, Dee Why Gardens offers a vibrant community comprising both Serviced Apartments and Independent Living Units (no Residential Aged Care). Our residents are independent seniors who enjoy the company and safety of living in a community of like-minded individuals, with the reassurance of services provided should the need arise.
Our lovely team at Dee Why Gardens are currently seeking a Village Engagement Assistant to join them on a permanent part-time basis (approx. 30 hours a week, including a mix of day and afternoon shifts, with 2 overnight sleepover shifts on-site for emergency response).
This role comes with a lot of room for growth, with the opportunity to develop and work on a wide range of projects - so you will never be bored!
Your daily responsibilities will include:Assisting with our colourful village events and resident engagement activitiesAssisting to serve meals & beveragesResponding to resident enquiriesResponding to calloutsUndertaking first aid and initiating emergency services where requiredGeneral administrative tasks and improvement projectsConducting welfare checks on residentsAbout YouYou have a genuine love for community and bringing people togetherYou take initiative and have a proactive attitudeYou hold a current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)You have strong decision-making skills and are calm under pressureYou are prompt, diligent, and reliableYou have basic computer skillsYou seek meaningful work that impacts lives and the communityYou are empathetic, passionate about helping others, and enjoy working with both your team and clientsYou are proactive, always looking to improve services, client satisfaction, and team efficiencyThe successful candidate will be providing customer service, comfort, and support to our residents when they need it most.
