What we do: As a recognized leader in providing Private Markets Solutions to clients across the globe we manage approximately $130 billion in discretionary assets and have oversight of an additional $810 in non-discretionary assets as of June 30, 2024.
The Opportunity: As the Vice President of Private Wealth Operations based in Sydney, you will be joining a dynamic team of professionals tasked with building out the operations around Hamilton Lane's recent fund strategy launches, which includes both Evergreen and Closed-end strategies. This unique role is exposed to virtually every facet of the day-to-day operations of the Fund, from front to back office.
Your responsibilities will be to: Support and oversee the trade and fund operations of our Evergreen and Closed-end funds.Act as the key point of liaison with our Responsible Entity and Fund Administrator.Support and oversee the investor onboarding process.Act as a resource to resolve complex or non-routine processing related questions/issues.Lead all engagements with local Australian platforms including fund onboarding and ongoing servicing requirements.Analyse fund netflow sources on a monthly basis.Take initiative to troubleshoot, investigate, design, and resolve operational inefficiencies by understanding the intricacies of each team and process involved in the Evergreen funds' lifecycles.Develop a deep understanding of the regulatory requirements/restrictions of operating and marketing a retail fund in Australia.Coordinate internal and external fund documentation to ensure operational processes are detailed accurately and within compliance requirements.Collaborate with internal/external counsel to review and amend legal agreements with investors, distributors, and service providers to ensure the agreed terms are aligned with the Fund's obligations. Your background will include: Undergraduate degree.8-12 years of operations experience in the Investment Management or financial service industry; experience in private markets is preferred.Exposure to Alternative Funds.Strong experience in managing processes, prioritizing multiple tasks within a fast paced, high-pressure environment, and possesses an acute attention to details.Experience supporting sales function is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.Strong Microsoft Office skills required; advanced Excel is a plus.Entrepreneurial spirit.Out-of-the-box thinker.
