Our client is looking for a results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead both sales and operational efforts for advanced technology solutions in the mining industry across Australia.
This position requires an individual who can drive revenue growth, manage the implementation of technology on-site, and maintain key client relationships from initial engagement through project execution.
Based in Sydney, the role focuses on business development, expanding market presence, and ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of projects across Australia's mining regions.
Key Responsibilities: Sales Leadership & Business Development:Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Australian mining sector.Develop and implement sales strategies to boost growth and market share, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers in the mining industry, promoting solutions to operational challenges.Leverage deep knowledge of the Australian mining market to explore new opportunities in key regions.Operational Oversight & Delivery:Lead the deployment of technology solutions at various sites, ensuring adherence to Australian safety standards and regulations.Oversee local project managers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.Manage logistical challenges associated with remote site deployments, ensuring seamless integration into client operations.Manage budgets and optimize costs for large-scale projects.Account Management & Client Engagement:Own key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction from project start to post-delivery support.Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing ongoing relationships and fostering long-term partnerships.Provide regular updates and maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing local team focused on sales and delivery.Collaborate with international teams to ensure alignment with global strategies.Develop a scalable team to handle complex technology deployments and client management across Australian mining regions.Success Metrics: Consistently meet or exceed sales and revenue growth targets within the Australian mining industry.Ensure the successful delivery of technology projects across multiple sites, maintaining high client satisfaction.Strengthen key accounts and create long-term client partnerships.Build and lead a capable team to manage both sales and operations.Requirements: Minimum of 15 years of experience in the mining industry, with a focus on sales, account management, and project delivery.At least 10 years of experience working with a leading hardware OEM or technology provider, with a proven track record of successful technology deployments.Previous experience in a startup environment.Strong record of achieving quotas and driving new business in mining technology or related sectors.Experience managing on-site technology implementations and leading projects from sales to delivery.In-depth understanding of the Australian mining industry, including regulatory and operational challenges.Strong independent leadership, capable of managing both sales and client relationships, while ensuring project success.Strong project management skills with experience overseeing multi-site deployments in remote locations.Proven leadership abilities, with a focus on building and mentoring teams in both sales and operations.Additional Qualifications: Advanced negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure beneficial contractual terms in complex agreements.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome operational challenges.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.Strategic thinker with a vision for leveraging technology to improve efficiency and drive business growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr
