Role Purpose The main role of this position in the Portfolio Management Unit (PMU) is to analyze data and provide support in setting the strategy for holding to maturity loan portfolios in the Global Corporate & Investment Banking for APAC (GCIB APAC).
This involves inputting and calculating necessary data to define detailed asset allocations by sector/country, collaborating with regional data analytics & CFO team and credit risk management team, monitoring portfolio profitability, tracking KPIs, and reporting recommendations to senior management regularly.
Additionally, this role requires close collaboration with country and regional teams for executing the portfolio strategy and providing guidance.
The position is open for hiring in Singapore, Melbourne, or Sydney, based on the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities: Collect and analyze data to develop strategies for holding to maturity loan portfolios.
Utilize tools to define sector/country allocations in collaboration with relevant teams.
Support in making recommendations to senior management regularly for portfolio strategy enhancement.
Monitor portfolio profitability and provide regular reports to senior management.
Track KPIs and country progress against budget.
Identify unused resources and recommend reallocation to different business areas.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze data and plan capital allocation.
Lead communication with country/product teams for strategy execution.
Work closely with a direct supervisor for departmental contribution.
Enhance processes and tools collaboratively.
Maintain and improve data tools for capital allocation.
Independently manage tasks with proactive reporting to the supervisor.
Follow directives from supervisors and handle additional tasks as required.
Requirements: Minimum 7 years of experience in the financial sector.
At least 5 years of experience in financial products and credit portfolio management.
Previous involvement in managing regional projects.
Demonstrated strategic planning and communication skills.
Holder of a Bachelor's degree or higher.
