Job Description The VFX Supervisor is responsible for the creative direction of a project and acts as a key point of contact with the creative leads on the client/production side. The VFX Supervisor works closely with VFX Producers and CG Supervisors to assign and review artist's work whilst taking sole responsibility for the sign off of 'final' shots. The VFX Supervisor is a creative leadership role, supporting and mentoring the Supervisor community on designated shows, with an aim of building capability within MPC.
Qualifications Manage the processes to adhere to KPI targets and put in place actions to remediate underperforming metrics.
Maintain standards of Craft, culture and quality of output for the company. To ensure that the workplace is creative, productive and inspirational for artists. To ensure there is a robust Strategy and plan to execute for the project assigned, identifying all key challenges and solutions to deliver. To keep ahead of technological development and ensure that MPC keeps ahead or aligned with cutting edge technology practices. To ensure that the technical approach to each show is thought through, and aligns with MPC's global way of working. To ensure a Roadmap specific per show is created to define the schedule, structure, workflows and tools to be used for the project. Attend dailies sessions with all members of the team on a regular basis to give direction and approvals. Work closely with the Producer to create a schedule and keep to a budget defined by Producer, ensuring timely delivery. To ensure the client's expectations are met throughout the process by continuing to engage, present and discuss the work. To manage the client throughout the process of delivery, by building a good relationship between you and your client as well as MPC and your client. Work with New Business team to help with bids and scripts breakdowns if requested. Help with Pitching and Presentations in regards to potential new VFX work. Any other reasonable duties. What this role is NOT responsible for:
