How You Will Make Contributions That Matter We are seeking a Veterinarian with experience in dairy to join our team in Allansford. As part of our Farm Milk Quality Team, you will play a pivotal role ensuring the responsible sourcing of milk from our suppliers. This includes consultative work around mastitis management and milk quality with our suppliers in the western district of Victoria and SE South Australia. As a member of the milk quality team you will have responsibility for implementation of the Saputo Animal Welfare policy as well as representing Saputo at an industry level to drive best practice across the Australia Dairy Industry.
Responsibilities Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with farmers, Saputo Field Services, logistics partners, and manufacturing facilities to understand and address the challenges they face. Lead and coach continuous improvement in milk quality performance through targeted initiatives, ensuring that all milk delivered meets regulatory standards and quality expectations. Effectively investigate milk quality incidents and verify the adequacy of corrective actions to prevent future issues. Ensure farms comply with regulatory standards in both milk quality and food safety, contributing to a safe and sustainable supply chain. Champion animal welfare by supporting and implementing our animal welfare policy across all operations. Support our sustainable agriculture policy by promoting sustainable agriculture practices and emissions reduction initiatives. Provide insightful analysis and reporting as required to drive decision-making and improve on farm and business outcomes. About You Veterinary Science degree (preferably), Animal Science qualification, or a background in agriculture or sustainability. Demonstrated experience in quality assurance within agriculture, preferably in the dairy industry. Exceptional skills in building and maintaining relationships, with the ability to navigate potentially sensitive situations. Proven experience in implementing change and continuous improvement processes. Strong IT skills, with the ability to utilize technology for data analysis and reporting.
